Occupational Health and Safety Program
Purpose of the Program
According to the World Health Organization, approximately 1 million occupational accidents occur every day in the world. In our country, where technology is rapidly developing and diversifying, occupational accidents and risks are rapidly increasing in parallel with the development of the industry. For this reason, there is a need for trained and conscious employees and trained manpower to guide and inform these employees about Occupational Health and Safety.
Occupational Health and Safety Program: It is aimed to train professional staff who can protect the employee from occupational accidents and occupational diseases by minimizing the risks by eliminating the hazards that exist in the work environment, ensure the use of time and personal performance at maximum efficiency by ensuring production safety, carry out safety inspections of all kinds of tools, equipment and machinery used in workplaces and other elements that may put building safety at risk, and ensure that the workplace environment remains safe areas as well as the safety of the worker and the work environment.
Titles and Employment Areas of Graduates
Graduates of the Occupational Health and Safety program receive the title of "Occupational Health and Safety Technician".
Graduates of the program can be employed as "Occupational Health and Safety Technician" in all institutions, organizations and enterprises, trade centers, multi-storey high-rise buildings, universities and schools in the form of campuses, shopping malls and community centers, fire brigades, civil defense and similar emergency organizations.
They can also become C, B and A class experts by taking the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety Occupational Safety Specialist Examination conducted by ÖSYM.
Departments that can be passed with Vertical Transfer
Students can transfer to Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Health Management, Social Work, Occupational Health and Safety and Health Administration undergraduate programs.
